What Is A B Supplement?

There are actually several B vitamins.

Vitamin B supplement is in fact a complex consisting of several different vitamins all put together into the same category.

Vitamin B1 or Thiamine

Vitamin B5 or Pantothenic Acid

 

Found in most foods this vitamin is also known as Pantothenic acid. Hence a vitamin B5 deficiency is very rarely heard of.

Vitamin B6

People over 50 should consider taking a multi vitamin.

This vitamin is another important of the vitamin B supplements.

It plays a crucial role in the protein processing, maintains the normal blood sugar level. Also is responsible for producing hemoglobin in the blood.

Hemoglobin is the oxygen carrier in the blood.

A vitamin B6 level below the required amount causes anemia and weakens the immune system of the body.

But you are very unlikely to suffer from vitamin B6 deficiency unless you are 55 or above.

Vitamin B12 or Cobalamin
